THE APPOINTMENT BREAKDOWN

How a beard trim goes here

1

Clean and dry

Skip oil and balm that morning so the clippers cut through the hair, not over it.

2

Agree on the lines

Your barber shows you where both lines land before anything gets cut.

3

Bulk, shape, edges

Clippers for length, scissors for the lip, razor for the lines; on a combo, hot towel first.

4

Between visits

Comb it down and leave the neckline alone; that's where home beards go wrong.

PRICING BY CHAIR

REGIONAL CONVERGENCE

Worth the drive on 69 or 80

One reviewer drives in from Dallas. The shop sits where 69 and 80 cross, so Hawkins and Grand Saline are fifteen to twenty minutes on 80, Lindale about fifteen down 69, and north Tyler around half an hour. Men don't keep driving past other barbers unless the lines come out right.

OUR CORE BELIEF

We'd rather leave a beard a little long than a little short

Hair grows back, but not by Saturday. When you ask for a guard number you're guessing at, we take it down in two passes and stop to look. We'd rather see you a week early than send you home with a beard you hide for a month.

To spend less, hold your own neckline with a trimmer and come in for the full shape every six weeks, not three.

Measure Twice. Cut Once.

Precision trimming guided by cautious patience rather than aggressive rush.

BARBERSHOP CLARITY

Beard questions we hear in the chair

How often should I get my beard trimmed?

Every three to four weeks for a shaped beard. Six to eight if you're growing it out and only need the lines cleaned.

Does a beard trim include the hot towel?

No. It comes with the razor cut-and-beard combos, $40 to $70. A trim alone gets clippers, scissors, and the razor lines.

Is there a beard trim near me that takes walk-ins?

Yes. Walk in Tuesday through Friday 10 to 6 or Saturday 10:30 to 4, or book. Quitman is ten miles up 37.
